MYRA - Moville Youth Recreation Association

MISSION STATEMENT: To provide the children of the Moville area quality instructional athletic programs that promote teamwork, build self-esteem and respect for others, and increase skill knowledge. It is our mission to ensure that each child has a positive, rewarding experience while participating in the programs, and that each child will learn the importance of sportsmanship, honor, and integrity while sharing with their coaches and teammates the emotions of success and failure. MYRA is dedicated to the principle that the pursuit of excellence in athletics will help prepare our future leaders in all areas of life.

DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS– That’s you! Dads and Moms have worked hard to make MYRA possible. If you are interested in leading your child’s team, please sign up for coaching or assistant coaching positions, during the registration session and visit with the MYRA board members who are present at Registration for answers to any questions you have about coaching or volunteering. MYRA parents are always needed to manage the concession stand during games, please see your child’s coach to signup for concession duties.

COED T-BALL

2013 Youth League Baseball and Softball season sign up dates: Sunday, March 3rd, 5:00-8:00 PM; Monday March 4th 5:00-7:00 PM; Tuesday, March 5th 5:00-7:00 PM at the Moville Fire station. Any registration forms received after March 10th will incur a $25.00 late fee. To be eligible to participate in this year's league your child must be 5 years old by May 1, 2013. Please bring your child(ren), there will be jerseys and pants available to try on at sign-up.

GIRLS SOFTBALL

Fall Soccer

Sign up form is due by August 24th
All soccer jerseys are the reversible blue and white jersey and can be ordered on the signup sheet.
All participants must have shin guards and a jersey.
Kindergarten thru 1st grade boys & girls play 3 on 3 (not coed)
2nd and 3rd graders play as combined coed with 6 on 6 teams
4th/5th/6th grade combined coed is 8 on 8
7th & 8th grade combined coed is 8 on 8

Soccer Sign-up Form

Sign up form is due by August 24th
All participants must have a sports physical, a mouth guard with a tab on it and football cleats.
1st and 2nd graders play on combined teams.

Tackle Football

All participants must have a sports physical, a mouth guard that attaches to their helmet, cleats, and a jock or compression shorts before the first contact practice.
